Manakamana Development Bank opened its first branch at Abu Khaireni, Nawalparasi (near famous Manakamana temple) on Thursday. The bank recorded a net profit of Rs. 124 million in the last fiscal year, up 13.5 percent compared to the preceding fiscal. The bank’s loans and advances stood at Rs. 1,928 million during the same period, up 279 percent compared to the year before. Similarly, deposits increased by 306 percent to Rs. 1,768 million in the same period while its non-performing loans decreased to 4.09 percent from 73.58 percent
